Born out of a love for Ink
Get Inked has been created as a portal into the UK Tattoo scene. Sure there are some great sites out there, some inspired artists and some reliable suppliers, but currently, there doesn't seem to be anywhere that accommodates all of the different Tattoo related genres. This is the aim of Get Inked.
Get Inked is basically me, Andy Ramsden. I'm a thirty something who is no more abnormal or super-talented than any one else may be. I've just taken up drums (oh yeah!) and am currently about to embark on carrying on with my back-rework / addition at Eternal Images with my old mate Billy Feather. Pictures here ......
2007 saw 110,000 unique visitors generating 319,000 page loads and that was growth on growth every month. For 2008, we are so far averaging 600 unique visitors per day so are on target for a quarater of a million unique visitors!!

The Miami Ink competition saw 5 lucky winners receive their winners bundles comprising of £100.00 of Miami Ink goodies: wallets, flip-flops, dvd box-set, t-shirts and hats so maybe there'll be some ill-fitting goodies on ebay around about now! The hat i got off the promotors was humungous..... i'm by no means slim and i could have stashed a couple off pacs of ciggies under the rim - not that i've smoked in 1017 days, three hours and 26 minutes but hey, i'm well over it!
It's not a business
The only income i get from running this site, goes towards my time and costs in running the site. I cannot live off this but i also cannot do it for free. I do it to serve the Tattoo community in general. I will consider designing and promoting Tattoo website's for any artist who is willing to offer their time and skills in return for a decent high-ranking website. I.e. you ink me (really really well!) and i'll slave away and get you a site up there. Bear in mind that any decent site, is going to take in excess of 200 hours to get it ranking high in MSN - that'll happen before Google even finds its' content. Any search engine optimizer who can get you 30000+ visitors (who were actually looking for what your site is offering), is worth the £30.00+ per hour that they'll likely charge you.
As the site progresses (and i learn more about what i'm doing in terms of making it), I'll be adding competitions, tattoo votes, maybe even a discount scheme if I can get studios signed up to the idea. I'm aiming by Christmas 2007 to have up to 50,000 unique visitors per month, so i've got my work cut out.
